KRUUSE Silk is a natural, non-absorbable, multifilament (braided) sterile suture composed of the organic protein fibroin. This 2/0 dyed suture features a 3/8 circle, 26 mm reverse cutting needle with a 70 cm length, designed for dependable tissue approximation such as epidermal approximation. It elicits an initial inflammatory reaction followed by gradual encapsulation with fibrous connective tissue. Indications include ophthalmic surgery, dental surgery, ligation, neurosurgery, and vascular or cardiovascular surgery. Supplied in a dispenser box of 12 peel packs with a 5-year shelf life from the production date; do not use in cases of known or suspected sensitivity or allergy to silk.
