Malaseb by Dechra is a prescription veterinary medicated dog shampoo and cat shampoo formulated with antibacterial Chlorhexidine Gluconate and antifungal Miconazole Nitrate. In dogs, it is indicated for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis associated with infections by Staphylococcus pseudintermedius and/or Malassezia pachydermatis. In cats, it is used as an aid in the treatment and control of dermatophytosis (ringworm) caused by Microsporum canis, in conjunction with systemic antifungal therapy.
