Flunazine
Flunazine is a Vetoquinol livestock health product containing flunixin meglumine in a sterile injectable solution. Approved for cattle, horses, and swine, it provides nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID), analgesic, and antipyretic support. It is now approved in cattle for the control of pyrexia associated with Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) and Acute Bovine Mastitis, and for the control of pyrexia and inflammation associated with endotoxemia. In clinical studies, use as an adjunct to antibiotic therapy with oxytetracycline controlled pyrexia associated with BRD. Available in 50 mg/mL concentration for IV or IM administration; prescription required in Canada.
