Bovicam injection
Bovicam 20 (meloxicam) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) solution for cattle, sheep, and swine, designed to aid in pain and inflammation control in livestock health products. In cattle, it aids in improving appetite and weight gains when given at the onset of diarrhea with oral rehydration therapy in calves over one week of age; relieves pain following de-budding in calves under 3 months; provides symptomatic treatment of inflammation and pain associated with acute clinical mastitis; and reduces pain associated with abdominal surgery such as caesarean section. In sheep and lambs 14 days or older, it offers single-dose alleviation of pain and inflammation; in swine, it reduces the symptoms of lameness and inflammation due to non-infectious locomotor disorders. This solution is administered intramuscularly, intravenously, or subcutaneously under veterinary direction and is a prescription product in Canada.
